We are delighted to have discovered some copies of Colin’s 1985 single ‘Head’ b/w. ‘Sex Slave’.
This long deleted seven-inch vinyl picture disc will also be of interest to fans of The Blockheads as it features Charley Chares (drums and backing vocals), Norman Watt Roy (bass) and Davey Payne (saxophone). Critically acclaimed at the time of its release (see Press Room) Head also features sitar virtuoso Clem Alford and contains some of Colin’s most beguiling lyrics.
Sex Slave is a tight funk workout set around Watt Roy’s distinctive, nimble fingered bass playing.
